Our Coffee

We take our coffee very seriously & understand that you probably do to. Quite often it is the last thing you taste and we like to get it just right. Our standard is set using two shots of espresso poured to produce a thick and lasting creme and built up from there. We even have a coffee as a dessert, a shot of expresso served with a side of ice cream.

Ochos chosen coffee is Fixx Coffee  which is Ethically Traded  and has 100% traceability from bean to cup. Fixx Coffee work in conjunction with Mercanta Coffee Hunters, whose policy is to find coffee growers who are encouraged to adopt strict social and environmental policies. The philosophy is simple... Paying workers more means you find and retain a skilled work force. Encourage wildlife and birds on the farms and you are less reliant on insecticides. Use organic composting and there is less or no need for chemical fertiliser. Fixx Coffee reward fairly the grower for production of Specialty Grade Coffee, with prices substantially above the cost of production and above the market coffee prices, including the Fairtrade Coffee Pricing which is set annually. What We Do

Ochos Tapas Bar is located in the heart of the busy Ranelagh main street and offers tapas, wine, beer, coffee, tea & treats. You will also find a great range of tastes on our specials boards. All our wine is available by the glass and chosen from small vineyards to ensure great character and palate. For lunch our menu changes to include a range of sandwiches and soups.
At the weekend Ochos Brunch menu is all about the eggs and includes a great range of €2 sides and fun drinks for you to enjoy. Ochos operates a no need to book policy as we can usually seat you in under 30 minutes.
